Interview Now — Granrodeo

MRT
Posted on Asian Beat, this interview was done before the Zepp Fukuoka show, and both e-zuka and Kiiyan show Fukuoka a lot of love in this interview. And they close with Kiiyan saying Granrodeo was born and will die in Japan, but he’d like to go see foreign fans … and e-zuka pointing out that won’t happen MRTbecause of Kiiyan’s weakness around airplanes. He goes on to say fans (Asian fans in particular), should come to Fukuoka to see them play in the future. (Fukuoka has been dubbed the “Gateway to Asia.”)

  1. hi admin,
I’m a really big fan of GR and kiiyan and I therefore also of your amazing blog. please keep posting! I have actually two questions and was wondering whether you could help me. Ever since I’ve become addicted to kii-kun, I’ve been dying to see his movie enishi. however even when searching now, I’ve never found it. I did find a site called dmm.com where you can buy it but I somehow can’t because of restriction areas. could you help me find it somewhere??
second; I really wanna buy some GR merch. but don’t know if their official store sells online and if they ship to foreign countries? if not do you know another way to get merchandising?
thank you so much for this wonderful blog ❤

    • Hi, and thank you!

Ah, Enishi. Alas, no, there’s no place to buy this movie. It had a single (I think) theatrical showing at the former CC Lemon Hall, but no DVD release. We can keep hoping….

GR merch is usually made available on the Lantis Mart site after each tour — basically whatever’s left over, or some special goods. Lantis will accept foreign credit cards, but you need a Japanese mailing address. From experience, if you live outside Japan, other than CDs/DVDs, you either need a friend in Japan, or be willing to pay auction prices on Yahoo Japan (you would need to use a proxy service to complete the transactions, though). Lantis makes it too easy for people in Japan to throw money at them, but not so much if you’re somewhere else, unfortunately.

  2. At the very least, he said it. Even if Zuka’s comment corrupted the whole thing shortly after, I’m still somewhat happy they spare a lil thought of us. Thank you, Granrodeo, no matter what.
