Currently I have two ideas I would love for Rodeo Girls and Rodeo Boys around the world to help out with.
The first is inspired by the young woman at the Yamaguchi show who was collecting messages from attendees and putting them in a binder that she had decorated with pictures of Granrodeo singles and albums. I would like to do something similar, but with a global twist. I think it would be nice if everyone could find a nice postcard that represents your city, region, or country, put a message on that, send it to me (in an envelope, so there’s no postmark or my address on the back) and I’ll deliver them to the band at G10, along with a map showing where everyone’s from.
Don’t know Japanese? No worries — you can put something in simple English, or even just a heartfelt THANK YOU, or a sketch, stickers, what have you. If you wanted to include something small like a keychain, magnet, etc. that would be nice too. Not sure what kind of binder or folder to put them in, but perhaps some of the creative types who see this could make suggestions or help out. If you are interested, leave me a comment or message where you see this (Tumblr, Twitter, etc.)
(I’d actually love to do something similar for Kiiyan’s 40th birthday — but perhaps with birthday cards from around the world? Any interest?)
The second idea is that I would like to go in on one of the big bouquets of flowers that are always at the lives. I have ideas for the arrangement, but need to check on prices and logistics before I can say that this will happen. The arrangements don’t come cheaply, so I would probably ask for donations, if possible. I’ll report back later, after I’ve done some groundwork on this one.
[…] received a favorable response to this idea, so let’s get it under […]
